Essential Split Case Policy |
||
As demand for more and more items
in smaller and smaller case sizes increases, we are trying to accommodate
people as much as possible by operating our own split case policy. This
is how it works: Imagine you wanted to buy a case of sunflower oil. The oil is packed twelve to a case. Case number 1 is a full case. If you wanted to buy this case, you would order one whole case, using the number 1. If you only wanted six bottles, you would order half a case, using the number 0.5. If you only wanted three bottles, you would order a quarter case, using the number 0.25. |

1. A FULL CASE

2. A HALF CASE
|
3.A QUARTER CASE
|
12 bottles |
6 bottles |
3 bottles |
| There are some products that are packed in numbers which further limit how the case can be split. For example, something packed in a case of fourteen can only be split in half. | ||
| Thirds Selling products in thirds of a case is problematic for us, because, a third as a decimal fraction is 0.33, and so to sell a whole case in individual thirds means that when it is all gone, we will have sold 0.99 cases, leaving 0.01 of a case remaining in our stock figures, when there is no physical product left. This is why we don’t like to sell things in thirds; however there are some products that, due to their expense, speciality and silly case sizes, we will sell as thirds. Please refer to the main listing for details. |
